Screw Fixing Kit

The screw fixing kit holds a front and rear number plate to the vehicle with 4 stainless steel screws and 4 colour-matched caps: 2 yellow caps for the rear plate and 2 white caps for the front. It is the fixing to use where the plate must not come off by hand, where the mounting surface will not take an adhesive pad, or where the vehicle already has screw holes in the right place.

Fitting

A new plate has no holes, so you drill your own. Drill from the back of the plate, not the front, with light pressure and a sharp bit; this keeps the reflective face clean and lowers the risk of cracking the acrylic. Position the holes so the screw caps sit clear of every character and of the supplier mark. Then screw the plate to the vehicle and push the caps on. The fitting guide shows each step.

Drilling breaks the seal between the plate's reflective layer and its acrylic face at each hole, which can let water in over time. Damage caused by drilling is not a manufacturing defect and is not covered by the plate warranty.

Drill-free alternative

If the mounting surface is flat and clean, the sticky pads fixing kit fits the plate without any holes and keeps the plate sealed. The fixing kit bundle includes both the pads and this screw kit, so you can choose once the plates are in your hands.
